Wrath of Fatima(a.s)

Fatimah (a.s.) passed away while being angry with Abu Bakr and Umar because they had deprived her of the inheritance left for her by her father, the Prophet (a.s.). Relying on the authority of `A'ishah, al-Bukhari quotes the latter as saying, "... Fatimah (a.s.) daughter of the Messenger of Allah (a.s.) was to receive the inheritance left for her from the fay' [property gained as a peace offering from a hostile party] which Allah had bestowed upon His Messenger (a.s.). Abu Bakr said to her, 'The Messenger of Allah (a.s.) had said, 'We [prophets] leave no inheritance; what we leave behind is charity;' therefore, Fatimah (a.s.) daughter of the Messenger of Allah (a.s.) became angry. She dissociated herself from Abu Bakr until she died. She lived for only six months after the death of the Messenger of Allah (a.s.)." `A'ishah adds saying, "And Fatimah (a.s.) demanded that Abu Bakr give her the share to which she was entitled of the inheritance of the Messenger of Allah (a.s.) from Khaybar, namely Fadak, and the Madinah charity, but Abu Bakr refused saying, 'I shall not leave out anything which the Messenger of Allah (a.s.) used to do.'"[1]

[1] Al-Bukhari, Sahih, Vol. 4, p. 208, in the book of khums in a chapter about obligations.
Her anger with Abu Bakr and Umar was so great that it prompted her to go as far as leaving a will with `Ali (a.s.) that Abu Bakr should not perform the funeral prayers for her after her demise, nor to even walk behind her coffin. Imam `Ali (a.s.) buried her pure body secretly at night as al-Bukhari states in his Sahih, relying on `A'ishah who said, "... Abu Bakr refused that anything should be paid to Fatimah (a.s.). Fatimah (a.s.), therefore, was extremely angry with him, so much so that she dissociated herself from him and never spoke to him until she died. She lived after the demise of the Prophet (a.s.) for six months. When she died, her husband buried her at night. Abu Bakr never called the adhan [to announce her death], nor did he perform the funeral prayers for her."[2]

Hazrat Fatima Zahra's Lamentation (crying ) For Imam Hussain (as)

It is written in the book Kamiluz Ziyarat ( chp 26 tdn no 7) :

Abu Basir says: I was speaking with Imam Sadiq (a.s.) when one of his sons entered. Imam (a.s.) said: ‘May Allah bless you’; and then embraced and kissed him.

Then he (as) said: ‘May Allah degrade those who dishonored you. May Allah avenge those who oppressed you. May Allah disappoint those who deserted you. May Allah curse those who slain you. May Allah be your guardian, protector and helper. Prophets, truthful ones, martyrs, angels of the heavens and our ladies have been weeping on you’.

Then Imam (a.s.) began to weep and said: ‘Abu Basir, when I look at the children of Imam Husain (a.s.), grief overcomes me when I remember what was meted out to them and to their father.’
‘Abu Basir, Fatima (s.a.) weeps and laments over Husain (a.s.) as a result of which Hell sighs so intensely, that if the keepers of Hell who also hear her voice did not prepare themselves to restrain it, it would burn all the inhabitants of the earth with its blazing fires and sparking fumes. So the keepers restrain it and hold its doors tightly closed as long as Fatima (s.a.) laments. Because they fear for the inhabitants of the earth. But Hell is not pacified until Fatima’s lamentation ends.’

‘Abu Basir, the seas almost split apart and collide with each other. There is a dedicated angel for every drop of water and they prevent every drop from boiling with their wings; keeping it together because of their fear for this world and everything in it. The angels remain in fear and cry for her crying. And they pray to Allah and beseech Him, after which the inhabitants of the Arsh and those around it beg Allah.’

‘Then their voices are raised in glorification of Allah, all because of their fear for the people of the earth. Even if one of their voices reached the earth, all the inhabitants would swoon, mountains would crumble and the earth would shake with its inhabitants.’

Abu Basir said, “May I be sacrificed on you! It is really a serious matter.”
Imam (a.s.) said, “That which you have not heard is greater. Abu Basir! Don’t you want to be of those who support Lady Fatima (s.a.)?”
When I heard this, I cried so much that I could not speak nor could the Imam (a.s.) do, because he was crying so intensely. Then he went to his prayer room and began to recite a supplication.

So I left the Imam in that state. I could not eat or sleep that night. The following morning, I was fasting and was in extreme fear when I went to Imam (a.s.). I heaved as sigh of relief when I saw that he had calmed down; and I praised and glorified Allah, because no chastisement or calamity had befallen me.

EID E GHADEER MUBARAK TO YOU ALL

Imām Ja'far as-Sādiq (A.S.) was asked -

“Do the true believers have an ‘Eid other than the two ‘Eid (of al-Adhha and al-Fitr) and the Jumu’ah?”

Imām Ja'far ibn Muḥammad as-Sādiq (A.S.) replied:

“Yes, they have one which is even greater than these ones and that is the day when Amirul Mo’minin (peace be upon him) was designated by the Messenger of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) with the Wilayah (at Ghadir Khumm) which rests on the necks of all the men and women.”

[Reference: Wasa’il ash-Shi’a, Volume 7, Page 325, Hadith 5]

It is narrated in a Hadith e Qudsi, that Allah (twt) said:

لو اجتمع الناس كلهم على ولاية علي ما خلقت النار

“If people would gather on the wilayat of Ali (as), I wouldn’t create the Fire”.

Fadak - Rules Of Inheritance In The Holy Qur'an

Upon becoming Khalifa Abu Bakr quickly moved to annex the legal right of Sayyida Fatima (as). Abu Bakr refused to entertain her claim that the land had been gifted to her, by her father (s) during his lifetime. If a person receives possessions (by whatever means) they can claim them by any means they choose appropriate. Hence Sayyida Fatima (as) also sought to claim Fadak by another claim, namely that Fadak, the properties of Madina and the lands of Khayber were the personal possessions of her father that she as his daughter and Waris could legally inherit from him (s). Abu Bakr also rejected this claim on the rationale that he heard the Prophet (s) say 'Our property will not be inherited, whatever we (i.e. prophets) leave is Sadaqah (to be used for charity)'. Sayyida Fatima (as) rejected this argument and the decision angered to the extent that she never spoke on good terms to the Khalifa again.

The Qur'an confirms that a daughter inherits from her father

Proof One

With regard to inheritance, the verse of Surah Nisa 004.007 reads:

From what is left by parents and those nearest related there is a share for men and a share for women, whether the property be small or large,a determinate share.
Al-Qur'an, Surah an-Nisa, Ayah 7, translated by Yusufali

Narration about oppressions from Shahid-e-Khamis Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Baqir al-Sadr

Introduction :
Shahid-e-Khamis Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Baqir al-Sadr (آية الله العظمى السيد محمد باقر الصدر) (March 1, 1935 – April 9, 1980) was an Iraqi Shi'a cleric, a philosopher, and ideological founder of Islamic Dawa Party born in al-Kazimiya, Iraq. He is the father-in-law of Muqtada al-Sadr and cousin of both Mohammad Sadeq al-Sadr and Imam Musa as-Sadr. His father Haydar al-Sadr was a well-respected high-ranking Shi'a cleric. His lineage goes back to Muhammad, through the seventh Shia Imam, Musa al-Kazim.( Ref : Wikipedia)

For More Details About Him Click Here

He has narated in his book Fadak fil Tarikh, p. 26 (published in Arabic in 1987 A.D. by the International House for Printing, Publishing and Distributing  as follows :

“`Omer is the one who assaulted your house (O Fatima!) which the Prophet (A.S.) made as a center for his call. He (`Omer) assaulted the family of Muhammed (A.S.) in their own home and set it ablaze or almost.”[1]
He also said, “Such was the conduct of the caliph and his friends towards Ali (A.S.) which reached the degree of cruelty that `Omer ordered to burn his house even though Fatima (A.S.) was still inside it. This means that Fatima (A.S.) or others from her offspring had no sanctity that would stop someone from treating them as someone would treat Sa`d ibn `Abadah when he ordered people to kill him.”[2]
