He said, `About what was done to my mother Fatima (A.S.)…, by Allah…, etc.’ Then he, peace be upon him, stated how those who did so would be punished.”
Muhammed ibn Haran ibn Masa, citing his father, transmits from Muhammed ibn al-Hasan (A.S.) ibn Ahmed ibn al-Walid, from Ahmed ibn Aba `Abdullah al-Barqi from Zakariyya ibn Adam saying, I was in the company of al-Rida (A.S.) when Aba Ja`fer, peace be upon him, was brought in. He was less than forty years old. He hit the ground with his hand then raised his head to the sky and contemplated for a long time. Al-Rida (A.S.) said to him, `May I be your sacrifice! About what have you prolonged your contemplation?!’ He said, `About what was done to my mother Fatima (A.S.)…, by Allah…, etc.’ Then he, peace be upon him, stated how those who did so would be punished.”[1]
We say that this narrative, though not detailing what took place, also considers her, peace be upon her, as having been exposed to a great injustice.
