The Incomparable Virtues of Fatemah Zahra (s.a.) in the Sunnah

WILADAT OF HAZRAT FAEMAH ZAHRA (SA) MUBARAK TO ALL

The Incomparable Virtues of Fatemah Zahra (s.a.) in the Sunnah

Hazrat Faatemah (a.s.) is called Faatemah because nobody can fathom her position. The only way to get some insight into her august position is from the sayings of the holy infallibles (a.s.).
The following are some of the quotations from Sunni books listing her virtues and underscoring her status:

1) Cause of creation of the universe

Numerous Sunni narrators like Shaikh al-Islam al-Hamuee (exp 732 A.H.) has documented in his book Faraaed al-Simtain book 1, pg 36, from Ibne Abbas, who quotes from Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.):
When Allah created Hazrat Adam (a.s.) and angels prostrated before him, Hazrat Adam (a.s.) asked Allah whether He had created anyone, dearer than him (Adam).
Allah replied: Yes. If they were not there, I would not have created you.
Then Hazrat Adam (a.s.) expressed his desire to see them. At the time, Allah ordered the Angels to set aside the curtain. Then Hazrat Adam (a.s.) saw five shadows in front of Allah’s Throne. He asked: O Allah! Who are they?
Allah informed: This is Muhammad (s.a.w.a.), this is his cousin and brother and successor, Ameerul Momeneen Ali (a.s.), and this is Faatemah (s.a.) the beloved daughter of My Messenger, and these are the sons of Ali and the Prophet, Hasan and Husain. Listen O Adam, they are among your sons.
Khwarazmi has quoted in his Manaaqib, that Abu Hurairah, has invited attention to this sentence – If they would not have been there you would not have been created. After this, Allah informed Adam that if they had not have been there, even Arsh and Kursi, skies and earth, angels, jinn and humans would not have been created. And for this reason Hazrat Faatemah Zahra (s.a.) is the cause of creation.

2) Love of Faatemah is condition of prophethood

Allah, the Almighty, presented the Wilaayat (mastership) of Ali (a.s.), Faatemah (a.s.) and their infallible progeny (a.s.) to the creation. Those who took precedence in accepting them were appointed prophets, after them came the Shias. Allah will gather all of them in Paradise. Many traditions on these lines are available in books like Basaaer al-Darajaat.

3) Leader of the women of this world and the hereafter

Ibne Maghaazali Shaafe’ee, in his book Manaaqib, pg 399, has documented a tradition from the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.): By the Almighty, who made me a Prophet, that you O’ (Faatemah (a.s.)) are the leader of all women in both worlds i.e. in this world, and the hereafter.
Many more traditions of this nature have been mentioned by Sunni scholars like Allamah Shahaabuddin Aalusi in Tafseer al-Maani, book 3, pg 155, Shaafe’ee in Seerah al-Halabi book 2, pg 6, as also by Suyuti, Muqrezi, Mannaawi, Ibn Abil Hadeed Motazali, Ahmed Zaini Vehlaan, Shaafe’ee Mufti Misri.

4) Affection and regard for Faatemah (s.a.) will serve at 100 stations

Shaikh al-Islam al-Hamuee in his invaluable book Faraaed al-Simtain, book 2, pg 67 has documented a tradition from the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) that he (s.a.w.a.) informed Salmaan:
He who befriends Faatemah (a.s.) will be with me in Paradise and he who bears enmity with Faatemah will be in Hell. O Salmaan! Affection for Faatemah will rescue a person in 100 stations of which the least terrifying are death, grave, scale of deeds, resurrection, Seraat and accounting of deeds. He with whom my daughter is pleased, will benefit from my pleasure, and he with whom, I am pleased will benefit from Allah’s Pleasure. And he with whom Faatemah is angry, will incur my wrath and he with whom I am angry will be a target of Allah’s Wrath. Most deplorable is the one who tyrannizes Faatemah (s.a.) or her husband Ameerul Momineen (a.s.) or her sons or their Shias.

EID E ZAHRA (SA) MUBARAK - THE GREATNESS OF 9TH RABI AL AWAL

The 9th of Rabi al-Awwal is a day of great status for the Household of infallibility
and purity, peace be upon them, as they consider this day one of the greatest Eids. This is
evident as the Imams, peace be upon them, used to hold celebration gatherings. Not only
that, but they used to order their Shia and their followers to take that day as Eid and
celebrate. The status of that day has reached a very high position that the Imams, peace
be upon them, has identified that day as ‘The second Ghadeer’, considering that Eid al-
Ghadeer is considered the greatest Eid.
To prove the greatness of that day, we will mention this one hadith reported by
the great scholar, Allamah Muhammad Baqir al-Majlisi, may Allah bless his soul:
“On the author of Muhammad ibn al-Alaa al-Wasiti and Yahya ibn Muhammad ibn
Jareeh al-Bagdadhi, they said: ‘We engaged in debates over the situation of Ibn al-
Khattab and became confused over this matter so all of us went to Ahmad ibn Ishaq al-
Qomi, a companion of Imam Abi Hassan al-Askari (Imam al-Hadi), peace be upon him,
in the city of Qom. We knocked on his door, and a young Iraqi girl answered the door.
We asked her about him, she responded: ‘He is busy, as today is a day of Eid.’
We said: ‘Subhan’Allah! The Shia have four Eids: al-Adha, al-Fitr, al-Ghadeer, and
Fridays.’
She said: ‘Ahmad ibn Ishaq narrates from his Master Abi Hassan, Ali Ibn Muhammad al-
Askar (al-Hadi), peace be upon them, that this day is a day of Eid, and it is among the
greatest of Eids for the Ahlulbayt, peace be upon them, and for their followers.’
We said: ‘Ask him for permission to enter his house, and tell him where we are’.
She then went inside and told him. He came out wearing nice clothes, wiping his face.We criticized him for this. He said to us: ‘Nothing is on you, I was doing ghusul as today
is a day of Eid.’
We asked: ‘Today is a day of Eid?’
He said: ‘Yes.’ And it was the 9th of Rabi al-Awwal. He welcomed us into his house and
sat us on a cushion.

Cursing the killers of Fatima Zahra (s.a.) invites good wishes of Aale Muhammad (a.s.)

Introduction

When it comes to cursing the tormentors of Ahle Bait (a.s.) (called Tabarra in religious lingo), there is usually a lot of argument and debate on toning down the pitch, not using names, not cursing openly, in fact and not cursing at all to keep unity among the Muslims.
There is also loose talk on how the Aale Muhammad (a.s.) never encouraged cursing of the companions and wives and prohibited open and evident Tabarra due to dissimulation.
While there are many answers to such baseless objections, we bring an incident that completely smashes the objections against Tabarra from all aspects.
Bashshaar al-Mukaari relates: I had the honour to be in the presence of Imam Sadiq (a.s.) in Kufa. Imam (a.s.) was eating dates. When I entered, he (a.s.) said: Bashshaar sit with me and eat dates.
I said: May I be sacrificed for you! On the way I witnessed a sight that pained my heart severely and I am unable to eat due to the uneasiness.
Imam (a.s.): What did you see on the way?
I said: On the way I saw a government official beating a woman on the head and dragging her towards prison. She was wailing loudly for help through the medium of Allah and the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) from everyone, but none offered to help her.
Imam (a.s.): But what was the woman’s crime?
I said: The people were relating that the woman had stumbled on the road and in this condition cried out, ‘May Allah curse the ones who oppressed you, O Fatima!
Imam (a.s.), merely on hearing this, began weeping intensely so much so that his handkerchief and blessed beard and his holy chest were moistened with his tears.
Imam (a.s.) said: Bashshaar! Let us visit Masjid al-Sehlah and pray for the salvation of the woman. In the meantime, also send someone so that he brings news from the court about the woman’s condition.
Bashshaar said: We entered Masjid al-Sehlah and prayed two units of prayers. Imam (a.s.) prayed for the woman’s salvation and went in prostration. He (a.s.) lifted his head from prostration and said: Let us go! They have released her!
We stepped out of the mosque. By then the man who had been sent to inquire about her condition returned and informed Imam (a.s.): They have released her.
Imam (a.s.) asked: How was she freed?
The man said: I do not know but when I went to the court, I saw that the woman had been released from prison. They brought her in front of the ruler. He asked the woman: What have you done that they have arrested you?
The woman narrated the incident. The ruler offered 200 dirhams to that woman (as compensation), but she did not accept. The ruler insisted: Consider us lawful, take this dirham. The woman still did not accept the money. She was nonetheless set free.
Imam (a.s.) asked: She did not take the 200 dirhams?
I said: No, I swear by Allah!
Imam (a.s.) said: Bashshaar! Give these seven dinaar to her because she is in severe need of this money. Also convey my salaam to her.
When I gave the seven dinaar to the woman and conveyed salaam of Imam Sadiq (a.s.), she asked elated: Has Imam (a.s.) sent salaam for me?
I said: Yes
The woman fell unconscious due to sheer joy. When she regained consciousness she repeated: Has Imam (a.s.) sent salaam for me?
I said: Yes! And she asked me this thrice. She requested me to convey her greetings to Imam (a.s.) and to request him (a.s.) to consider her a slave, in need of his (a.s.) supplications.
Thereafter I returned and conveyed the matter to Imam Sadiq (s.a.). Imam (a.s.) on hearing this began weeping and prayed for her.

Hazrat Fatemah Zahra (sa) Still mourns For Imam Hussain (as) - 3rd Shaban 1434 AH

Abu Basir says: I was speaking with Imam Sadiq (a.s.) when one of
his sons entered. Imam (a.s.) said: May Allah bless you’; and then embraced and kissed him.
Then he  said: ‘May Allah degrade those who dishonored you. May Allah avenge those who oppressed you. May Allah disappoint those who deserted you. May Allah curse those who slain you. May Allah be your guardian, protector and helper. Prophets, truthful ones, martyrs, angels of the heavens and our ladies have been weeping on you’.
Then Imam (a.s.) began to weep and said: ‘Abu Basir, when I look at the children of Imam Husain (a.s.), grief overcomes me when I remember what was meted out to them and to their father.’

‘Abu Basir, Fatima (s.a.) weeps and laments over Husain (a.s.) as a result of which Hell sighs so intensely, that if the keepers of Hell who also hear her voice did not prepare themselves to restrain it, it would burn all the inhabitants of the earth with its blazing fires and sparking fumes. So the keepers restrain it and hold its doors tightly closed as long as Fatima (s.a.) laments. Because they fear for the inhabitants of the earth. But Hell is not pacified until Fatima’s lamentation ends.’

‘Abu Basir, the seas almost split apart and collide with each other. There is a dedicated angel for every drop of water and they prevent every drop from boiling with their wings; keeping it together because of their fear for this world and everything in it. The angels remain in fear and cry for her crying. And they pray to Allah and beseech Him, after which the inhabitants of the Arsh and those around it beg Allah.’
‘Then their voices are raised in glorification of Allah, all because of their fear for the people of the earth. Even if one of their voices reached the earth, all the inhabitants would swoon, mountains would crumble and the earth would shake with its inhabitants.’

Abu Basir said, “May I be sacrificed on you! It is really a serious matter.”
Imam (a.s.) said, “That which you have not heard is greater. Abu Basir! Don’t you want to be of those who support Lady Fatima (s.a.)?”
When I heard this, I cried so much that I could not speak nor could the Imam (a.s.) do, because he was crying so intensely. Then he went to his prayer room and began to recite a supplication.

So I left the Imam in that state. I could not eat or sleep that night. The following morning, I was fasting and was in extreme fear when I went to Imam (a.s.). I heaved as sigh of relief when I saw that he had calmed down; and I praised and glorified Allah, because no chastisement or calamity had befallen me.

EID E ZEHRA (SA) MUBARAK

Imam Ali(as): O' Abu Bakr. Have you read the book of Allah(swt)?

Abu Bakr(la): Yes.

Imam Ali(as): The verse " God desires to keep only the uncleanness away from you O'People of the Family and purifies you a thorough purification"  has been send down in our praise or in the praise of others?

Abu Bakr(la): Yes, in Your praise.

Imam Ali(as): If a witness, witnesses against Janabe Fatima(sa) regarding a bad thing, what will you do in that case?

Abu Bakr(la): I will apply the Islamic Had on her(sa) just like its done for other muslim women.

Imam Ali(as): In that case you will be among the Kaafir in the sight of Allah(swt).

Abu Bakr(la): No.

Imam Ali(as): Because in this case you rejected the declaration of Allah(swt) regarding the Purity of Janabe Fatima(sa) , accepting the declaration of the common people which is like rejecting the order of Allah (swt) and order of Messenger of Allah (saww).

Excellence of Hazrat Faatemah Zahra (s.a.) in the Sunnah

Hazrat Faatemah’s (s.a.) standing in light of traditions

There are innumerable traditions highlighting the eminent position of Hazrat Faatemah (s.a.). These traditions are reliable and documented by scholars of both schools – Sunnis and Shiah. In fact, entire books have been devoted to her status in Islam. Before proceeding with the discussion on the oppressions faced by Hazrat Faatemah (s.a.), it is worth noting some traditions that underline her stature in religion. These traditions have also been recorded by respected scholars of the Sunnis.

Hazrat Faatemah (s.a.) is the Chief of the Women of Paradise

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) informed:
فاطمۃ سیدۃ نساء اھل الجنۃ
‘Faatemah is the chief of the women of Paradise.’
This tradition has been recorded varyingly –
The Prophet (s.a.w.a.) informed:
فاطمۃ سیدۃ نساء ھذہ الامۃ
‘Faatemah is the chief of the women of this nation.’
فاطمۃ سیدۃ نساء المومنین
‘Faatemah is the chief of all the believing women.’
فاطمہ سیدۃ نساء العالمین
‘Faatemah is the chief of all the women of the world.’
This tradition with variations has been recorded by Saheeh-e-Bukhari, Musnad-e-Ahmad Ibn Hanbal, Al-Khasaais of Nesaai, Musnad of Abu Dawood al-Tayaalesi, Saheeh-e-Muslim (Chapter of Virtues of Hazrat Faatemah (s.a.)), Mustadrak of Haakim, Sunan-e-Tirmidhi, Sunan-e-Ibne Maajah and other reliable books of the Sunnis.[1]
Based on the narration of the Prophet (s.a.w.a.), who only speaks on the authority of revelation, Hazrat Faatemah (s.a.) is the chief of all women from the beginning of the world till the end.
Hazrat Faatemah (s.a.) is a part of the Prophet (s.a.w.a.)
Reputed scholars of both the sects have recorded the following:
فاطمۃ بضعۃ منی مَن اغضبھا أغضبنی
‘Faatemah is a part of me, one who displeases her has displeased me.’
This tradition has been documented with the very words in Saheeh-e-Bukhari and other books of the Sunnis.[2]
Other traditions with similar purport have also been recorded, for example:
فاطمۃ بضعۃ منی یریبنی ماأرابھا و یؤذینی ما آذاھا
‘Faatemah is a part of me, that which grieves her grieves me and whatever troubles her, troubles me.’
This tradition has been documented in Saheeh-e-Bukhari, Musnad-e-Ahmad, Sunan-e-Ibne Dawood, Saheeh-e-Muslim and other reference books of the Sunnis.[3]
This tradition has been documented in Saheeh-e-Muslim in this manner – Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) said:
Surely, Faatemah is a part of me, it pains me what pains her.[4]
Ahmad Ibn Hanbal records in his Musnad that the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.a.) informed:
انّما فاطمۃ بضعۃ منّی یؤ ذینی ماآذاھا،
‘Surely Faatemah is a part of me, that pains me what pains her, that troubles me what troubles her.’[5]
This tradition has also been recorded by Tirmidhi in his Sunan.[6]
After recording this tradition, Haakim informs:
This tradition is correct (Saheeh) according to the criteria used by Bukhari and Muslim.[7]
In another place in his Musnad, Ahmad records the following tradition of the Prophet (s.a.w.a.):
انّما فاطمۃ بضعۃ منّی یو ذینی مااذاھا و ینصبنی ما انصبھا
‘Faatemah is a part of me it grieves me what grieves her and it pleases me what pleases her.’[8]
This tradition is also narrated in Mustadrak and other reference books of the Sunnis. With regards to this tradition, Haakim says that the chain of narrators is correct.[9]

In Faatemah’s pleasure and displeasure is Allah’s pleasure and displeasure

In one notable tradition, the Prophet (s.a.w.a.) informs about his daughter:
ان اللّٰہ یغضب لغضب فاطمۃ و یرضی لرضاھا
‘Surely Allah is angry with what makes Faatemah angry, and is pleased with what pleases her.’
This tradition is narrated in Mustadrak, Isaabah and Tahzeeb al-Tahzeeb. Muttaqi Hind, author of Kanz al-Ummaal has recorded it from Abu Ya’laa, Tabari and Abu Noaim. In addition to these sources, this tradition can be traced in other reference books of the Sunnis.[10]

The burial of Janabe’ Zahra and the lamentation of Ali (a.s.)

Hazrat Ali (a.s) remained sorrowful and at the same time he was secretly taking help from Asma binte’ Umays till the last moments of the life of Janabe’ Zahra (s.a). In her will, Janabe’ Zahra expressed her desire that he (a.s) should give ablutions to her dead body, bury her in the darkness of the night and erase all signs of her grave. She also insisted that neither these two nor their friends should be allowed to participate in her funeral and the funeral prayers.

Abu Bakr and Umar meet Janabe Zahra (sa)

The effects of this tyranny stayed on the holy body of Janabe’ Zahra (a.s.). After this, she remained sad and became sick, till she was confined to the bed.

The body started becoming weak and thin and nothing remained till she was reduced to a shadow of herself. She became severely sick. She did not permit those who had troubled her to visit her. Nobody saw her smile towards the end of her life.

When her sickness intensified Umar told Abu Bakr, “I wish to visit Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.). We have offended her.” They sought permission to meet her, but she did not grant them permission. They kept on insisting. Then, one day they met Hazrat Ali (a.s.) and said, “You know what has transpired between us and Janabe’ Zahra. If you find it appropriate, then obtain us permission to meet her so that we can apologise for our crimes.

Janabe Zahra (sa) leaves the house

At this time, Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.) left her house in the condition that she had worn the headdress of the Prophet (s.a.w.). Imam Hasan (a.s.) and Imam Hussain (a.s.) were clutching at her fingers and tears were streaming down her face. She was separating the people while accompanied by the women of Bani Hashim who were also weeping. She cried out, “O Abu Bakr, how soon did you turn your face away from the Ahle’ Bayt (a.s.) of the Prophet (s.a.w.)? By Allah, I will not speak to Umar for what remains of my life.[1] O Abu Bakr! I share no relationship with you of any kind and of any manner. Do you wish make my children, orphans and me, a widow?

People forcibly dragged Hazrat Ali (a.s.) from his House - Part 1

The people forcibly dragged Hazrat Ali (a.s.) from his house.[1] Umar was especially harsh on Hazrat Ali (a.s.)[2] and was pulling him mercilessly.[3] The rest of the people followed this procession. Hazrat Ali (a.s.), while talking about this incident says, “I was dragged by the people for bay’at just as a camel is dragged.[4] The swords of the people were drawn and their spears were shining in readiness.” His condition was such that he was in a state of extreme sadness and often was filled with fury. But with great patience he overcame his anger.[5] He was also extremely weary and tired.[6]

Visits to the house of Janbe Zahra (sa) - Part 3

"Ameerul Mo’meneen has summoned you.”

Abu Bakr then called for Qunfuz and said, “Go to Ali (a.s.) and tell him that the Ameerul Mo’meneen has summoned you.”

Qunfuz narrated this to Ali (a.s.) who remarked, By Allah (s.w.t.), he has lied. Go to Abu Bakr and tell him that he is associating himself with a title that does not belong to him. He is well aware that the Ameerul Mo’meneen is a person other than himself.”

Visits to the house of Janbe Zahra (sa) - Part 2

“The caliph of the Muslims is calling you.”

Another report narrates the incident as follows – Qunfuz said to Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.) that I have been sent by Abu Bakr ibne Qahaf, the caliph of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.). You inform Ali (a.s.) that the leader of the Muslims has summoned him. At this Ali (a.s.) replied, “When you addressed the Ansar in Saqifah Bani Sa’adah, at that time, you were not even staking your claim to the title. Instead you were inviting your friends Umar and Abu Obaydah for it. And today, you yourself are claiming ownership to it.” Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.) informed Qunfuz about this reply. He returned to Abu Bakr and was sent back by Umar to Hazrat Ali (a.s.) with the message, “The caliph of the Muslims is calling you.”

Qunfuz went again to Hazrat Ali (a.s.) and repeated the message, at which, Ali (a.s.) remarked, “The one who is made caliph is inferior to the one who appoints the caliph. The one who is made caliph cannot rule over the one who appoints the caliph. Neither will his orders be heard, nor will he be obeyed.[1]

Visits to the house of Janbe Zahra (sa) - Part 1

"The caliph of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) has summoned you."
Umar came to Abu Bakr and said, “Will you not seek the oath of allegiance from those who have refused to do so?[1] All the people have done your bay’at, save one person and his family. And these are just a few individuals.[2]

As per the narration of Janabe’ Salman, Umar said, “Send a person to Hazrat Ali (a.s.) for his bay’at. We will not enjoy any position if he (a.s.) does not pay allegiance to you even though everyone else may do so.[3]

As per another tradition, “O chief! You have nothing for yourself till the time Ali (a.s.) does not swear allegiance to you. Send a person to Hazrat Ali (a.s.) so that he may seek his bay’at in your favor.” Consequently Abu Bakr dispatched Qunfuz saying to him, “You go to Ali (a.s.) and say to him that the caliph of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) has summoned you.

The Opressions begin

The supporters of Abu Bakr had reached a sizeable number. Abu Bakr and Umar maintained their pressure on people to swear their allegiance. At that time, ‘Umme’ Mustah Ibne Asasi’ recited these verses at the grave of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.):

“We have been deprived of your grace in the same manner as the earth is deprived of rain. Your ummat has silently betrayed you. You come and give witness to all that is happening.”

It is said that Zubayr and Miqdad would regularly present themselves before Hazrat Ali (a.s.), would consult him and then go back to the people. At that Umar came to the house of Janabe’ Zahra (s.a.) and spoke with her, “If these people continue to visit you, I will order your house to be burnt down.”[1] In another narration, it is reported that Umar said, “I will destroy this house.”[2]

Hazrat Ali (a.s.) refused to pay allegiance to Abu Bakr - Part 2

Abu Obaydah came to Hazrat Ali (a.s.) and said, “O the son of my uncle! We do not deny your nearness, your precedence in Islam, your knowledge and your help. It is only that you are lesser in age (at that time, Hazrat Ali (a.s.) was 33 years old). Abu Bakr is elder to you and is more experienced.[1] He will be able to bear this burden more efficiently  (than you). Whatever had to happen has happened. Now you accept and submit before him. If Allah (s.w.t.) grants you a long life, we will hand over this caliphate to you. No person will oppose this move at that time. You will be more deserving and worthy for it then. (Do not create a commotion on this issue. You are aware of the opinion of the Arabs and the non Arabs about yourself.)”

Hazrat Ali (a.s.) refused to pay allegiance to Abu Bakr - Part 1

All the members of Bani Hashim who were present there were rounded up and taken to Abu Bakr. They were told, pay your allegiance to Abu Bakr as others have done. And by Allah, if you don’t, we will use our swords against you. In such a helpless situation, Bani Hashim offered their allegiance to Abu Bakr.[1]

However, Hazrat Ali (a.s.) refused to pay allegiance to Abu Bakr and countered, “I am more worthy of this position than you. You all should swear allegiance to me. You have sought allegiance from the Ansar on the basis of your proximity to the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) and now you wish to snatch this right from us, Ahle’ Bayt (a.s.)? Did you not offer this argument that on account of your closeness to the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) you are more eligible for the caliphate than them? Surely it is on this account that they handed over this position to you.

what was the conduct of the ummat towards Ahle’ Bayt (a.s.)?

When Hazrat Ali (a.s.) completed the burial of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.), he busied himself in those works, which the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) had entrusted him with. He remained within the confines of his house.[1] Few members of Bani Hashim, some Ansar[2] and some Mohajirs presented themselves before him. Amongst these were Abbas[3], Zubayr[4], Miqdad[5], Talha[6], Sa’ad ibn Abi Waqqas[7] and No’man.

These people were displeased with the bay’at (allegiance) to Abu Bakr and wished to free themselves from it.[8] They desired to express their disapproval of the same[9] and wanted to pledge their support to Ali ibn Abi Talib (a.s.).[10]

What did Allah (s.a.w.) and the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) guide us to…?

The Holy Quran clearly states that the reward for the toils and the efforts of the Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) is love and affection for his Ahle’ Bayt (a.s.).

The Holy Quran states,

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لاَ تَدْخُلُوا بُيُوتَ النَّبِيِّ إِلاَ أَن يُؤْذَنَ لَكُم

“O those who believe! Do not enter the houses of the prophets without their permission”
(Surah Ahzab: 53)

The Holy Prophet (s.a.w.) said, “Surely the door of Fatemah is like my door and her house is my house. Then whoever is disrespectful towards her, it is as if he has crossed the veil of Allah.”
